The deadline to register to vote in May’s primary election is less than a week away.
Monday May 4th is the last day voters can register to vote on the May 19th primary election.
A week after that will be the deadline to register for a mail ballot but election officials recommend you apply for a mail ballot to allow time for the ballot to arrive at your home then back to the election’s office.
Pennsylvania is also a closed primary state, meaning you can only vote in the party election you are registered with.
More information on voting can always be found on vote.pa.gov.
