A Butler man was one of two killed in a deadly crash earlier this week in neighboring Armstrong County.
26-year-old Tyler Zeigler of Butler was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle collision. It happened about 6 a.m. Wednesday in north-eastern Armstrong County on Route 28/66 in Mahoning Township, in the area known as Hogback Hill.
State police believe Zeigler was northbound in a pickup truck when he crossed the double-yellow line and struck another pick-up driven by 59-year-old Mark Kirkpatrick of Summerville, Jefferson County.
Kirkpatrick was taken to ACMH Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation by state police.
