The Pennsylvania Game Commission says this past hunting season saw the biggest deer harvest in 15 years.
Officials say just over 435,000 deer were harvested this hunting season—which is up about 12 percent from 2019-20.
There are no specific Butler County numbers as the county is broken into three different wildlife management units with other counties.
The specific numbers are listed below. The numbers in parentheses represent the 2019-20 totals.
WMU 1A: 9,000 (6,400) // 18,000 (13,200)
WMU 2B: 6,000 (5,500)// 15,000 (10,400)
WMU 2D: 12,000 (13,000)// 18,788 (18,888)
