Democratic lawmakers have written a letter to Governor Josh Shapiro that a digital loophole is providing U.S. Immigration forces with driver’s license data.
Pennsylvania State Police have an agreement with neighboring states and the federal government to allow those agencies access to PennDOT’s database.
According to the database they provide the same access for 20 states.
Several states have announced intentions to block ICE from accessing this information.
