The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection finally has an official leader.
After a bipartisan vote, interim Secretary Jessica Shirley was confirmed to lead the environmental agency.
Shirley was chosen as the interim secretary after the former secretary resigned in October of 2023.
After spending the last 14 years with the agency in several different roles Shirley will officially lead the agency.
