Police are releasing more information on a crash that sent a young girl to a hospital earlier this week.
The accident happened Wednesday evening just after 5 p.m. on Route 38, near the intersection with Hindman Road.
State police say 39-year-old Nicholas Buckley of Karns City was stopped in the northbound lane waiting to turn into his driveway when 18-year-old Lucas Waugaman of Parker rear-ended his vehicle.
That sent debris flying, and caused a third vehicle driven by 46-year-old Thomas Edinger of Petrolia to go off the road.
An eight-year-old girl in Buckley’s car was injured and had to be flown to Children’s Hospital. Buckley was treated at the scene, and Waugaman was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
A portion of Route 38 was closed to allow for the medical helicopter to land.
