State officials are warning recipients of various benefit programs about a potential scam.
The Department of Human Services issued the warning saying that individuals are getting calls and texts that ask about EBT cards, Medicaid, and SNAP data.
The scammer says that the recipient’s EBT card is blocked and requests information to release it.
Authorities say the DHS will never request information by text or call.
