The investigation into the disappearance of Cherrie Mahan led to a search mission in Armstrong County.
According to our news partners at WPXI, there was a crew that was digging into a plot of land in South Buffalo Township, near the Allegheny River.
It’s unclear if anything was found during the dig.
It comes as the investigation in Cherrie Mahan’s disappearance has ramped up over the past year, with a private investigator from Iowa putting up $100,000 for information that would help solve the case.
Mahan was last seen getting off her school bus in 1985.
