A new state law will make it easier for disabled veterans to receive their free state hunting license.
The new law will remove the yearly application and annual fee for 100 percent disabled veterans. It will also allow any veteran determined to be 100 percent disabled, whether it is a permanent determination or not, to receive a free lifetime fishing license.
The new law passed through the state house and senate without a single no vote.
Governor Josh Shapiro signed it into law on Monday and it will go into effect 60 days from the signing.
