Independence Health System is raising awareness of Donate Life Month.
The health system has teamed up with the Center for Organ Recovery and Education, better known as CORE, to promote organ donations.
Katelynn Metz of CORE says there can be a significant impact by signing up to become an organ donor.
Butler Memorial Hospital will be hosting a public flag raising ceremony on April 16th to help spread awareness of organ donation.
