Pittsburgh rock musician Donnie Iris has announced he will be returning to the stage after receiving positive news regarding his health.
The Ellwood City native will perform March 16th on the campus of Robert Morris.
After being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Iris announced in a social media post that doctors no longer see cancer and he has finished chemotherapy treatments.
Iris celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this year at Robert Morris with a concert. Shortly after, he revealed the cancer diagnosis.
Iris became known nationally for hits like “Ah, Leah!” and “Love is Like a Rock.” He also scored a hit with “The Rapper” performing with the band The Jaggers.
