A fire in downtown Butler Wednesday afternoon resulted in the evacuation of a business but was soon under control.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday for a large amount of smoke coming from the second and third floors of the apartment building next to Natili North.
Crews from Butler City, Butler Township, and the Butler VA responded to find an evacuation of both structures in progress. The smoke was found to be coming out of the basement of Natilis.
A small amount of fire was located between the two buildings near the rear of Natilis. The fire was extinguished after about 20 minutes and crews worked to ventilate the buildings.
