A warming center in downtown Butler is asking for help assisting those in need.
The Glade Run Lutheran Services Winter Warming Center, on East Diamond Street is open from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. seven days a week.
This safe overnight space is for individuals and families experiencing homelessness to sleep, eat, shower and do laundry. Center officials say they are in urgent need of supplies such as Tide laundry pods, twin bed linens, pillows, and gift cards to local grocery stores.
Glade Run is also seeking donations of individually wrapped snacks like granola bars, single serve meal items like ramen soup cups, individually wrapped breakfast items like pop tarts, and beverages like coffee.
Vouchers are required for entry and can be accessed through either Catholic Charities or the Center for Community Resources—both of which are located in downtown Butler.
The warming center will be open through March 31st.
