South African golfer Ashleigh Buhai won her first major and tournament on the LPGA Tour when she defeated In Gee Chun on the fourth playoff hole to win the Women’s British Open in Scotland. Buhai opened the final day with a five-stroke lead but hit a critical bunker shot and left a tap-in to win after playing the 18th hole for a fourth consecutive time in the playoff.
Joohyung Kim became the second-youngest winner on the PGA Tour since World War II Sunday with a final round 9-under 61 for a five-shot victory at the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina. He had to finish his rain-delayed third round Sunday morning and was two shots behind, then went out and shot a 27 on the front nine of the final round to take control. The win makes him eligible for the upcoming Fed Ex Cup playoffs.
