Glade Run Lake will be partially drawn down so crews can begin a maintenance project.
Officials with Fish and Boat Commission say that over the next several weeks the water level in the lake will be lowered by about four feet.
This will allow excess vegetation to dry and eventually freeze.
However, the drawdown will also cancel fall trout stocking that was originally scheduled for early November.
The commission says refilling the lake will begin this winter so it is at normal levels for the spring of next year.
