The driver of an accident that killed him and his grandson had a blood alcohol level 3 times over the legal limit.
The father of 12-year-old Zane Rupert, Josh Rupert, said police said that Dave Faulx, Zane’s grandfather, had a blood alcohol level of .246 percent before the crash that would take his and his grandsons’ life.
Josh would go on to say that because of the high blood alcohol level and the high rate of speed Faulx went over the yellow line and collided with the semi-truck.
Josh warned others of the dangers of drunk driving in the post, “If you think you can get in a vehicle and drive drunk think again, please I beg of you. No matter how many times you “got away with it” one day, you may not. It will eventually be a day that becomes your last.”
