Two People died after a head on vehicle collision in Forward Township Friday Morning.
Just after 10:30 am a call came into the Butler County 911 Center for a head on two vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 68 and Buhl Road.
Police identified Kathryn J. McGown, 69, of Evans City and Marcia D. Carnahan, 80, of Slippery Rock in the crash. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the Jeep driven by McGown crossed the double yellow line and hit the Cadillac driven by Carnahan head on.
The roadway was shut down between Old Route 68 and Brownsdale Road for nearly six hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
