The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is extending the expiration dates for commercial driver licenses and permits but not non-commercial licenses, permits, ID cards, and camera cards.
According to PennDOT, commercial driver licenses and learner’s permits for Pennsylvania residents have been extended to September 30th due to COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
Expiration dates on regular driver’s licenses and learner’s permits falling between March 16th and August 31st will not be extended and are now considered to be expired.
The PennDOT driver’s license center at the Point Plaza in Butler is offering limited services. Other transactions and resources can be accessed through PennDOT’s website with no additional fees.
