State police say the number of DUIs in Pennsylvania went down last year.
Overall, police made over 18,000 arrests for driving under the influence in 2020—that number is down about 17 percent from 2019.
A majority of the arrests were for alcohol, but around 1,200 were for other drug related reasons.
Experts say the decrease in arrests may be because of there were fewer drivers on the road during the height of the pandemic.
