A local official is taking on a leadership role in a statewide organization.
Butler County Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans Court Sarah Edwards was elected earlier this month as President of the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans Court Association of Pennsylvania.
Since taking office in 2016, Edwards has instituted online marriage applications, a virtual probate process, increased the number of forms available online, and started accepting credit and debit cards.
Edwards has also spent time guiding both the public and attorneys in the use of the State-mandated Guardianship Tracking System.
