Eight people were taken into custody following a drug bust earlier this week in the City of Butler.
Police say an investigation was opened due to suspected drug activity at a home in the 500 block of Federal Street, which is near West Penn Street.
Police then got a search warrant and went into the home on Thursday. Law enforcement found eight people inside the home, including six that had pending drug and bench warrants. They were all taken to the Butler County Prison.
Police continued their investigation at the home and found illegally possessed guns, and a “large quantity” of cocaine, heroin, and money.
All of the suspects are set to face felony charges, although those charges have not been filed yet.
State Police Vice and Narcotics Troopers, Butler City Police, Region 6 Attorney Generals Narcotics agents, members of the Butler County Drug Task Force, and the U.S. Marshals Task Force all cooperated with the investigation.
