Monday officially kicks off the application period for emergency rental relief program in Butler County.
The county was awarded over $12.3 million for the program that aims to provide housing stability for residents impacted by the pandemic.
Hayley Merchant is director of programs at the Center for Community Resources explains some of the application process.
“For the person applying, you need to be the head of household, which means your name is on the lease. And you need to be the one and or have someone on the application who had the reduction of income, or had the increased expenses due to COVID,” Merchant said.
Merchant also adds that the application process is fairly simple. It can either be filled out online or mailed to your residence.
The program is being coordinated through the Center for Community Resources. More info can be found here.
