An Evans City man is facing charges after it’s alleged he strangled a woman in Adams Township.
On Tuesday, police were called to a home on the 600 block of Callery Road for a domestic incident.
According to dispatch, during the call a big crash and someone yelling “get off me” could be heard.
According to charging documents, 52-year-old Eric Wright had gotten into an argument with a woman and the interaction turned physical when Wright choked the woman.
When officers spoke with the victim red marks could be seen around the victim’s neck.
Wright was charged with strangulation, simple assault, harassment, and is being held in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for February 18.
