An event Saturday will help local drivers replace hard-to-read license plates.
State Representative Marci Mustello and Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe are holding the event from 10 a.m. to noon at the Chicora Borough Parking Lot.
Staff members and deputies will have the application available that allows for a free license plate replacement. Drivers should bring an unexpired PA driver’s license and current vehicle registration card.
A plate is considered illegal if one or more of its letters or numbers can’t be read from 50 feet away.
New license plates will be mailed to participants within approximately two to three weeks.
