Former Pennsylvania governors are condemning political violence following the attack at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
All of the living ex-governors issued a statement saying keeping elected officials safe “should always be nonpartisan and a priority.”
They also referenced the attack on the Governor’s family last year, calling it particularly upsetting.
They are asking the state’s legislators to make the safety and security of Governor Shapiro and his family a priority.
