The Butler community is mourning the loss of a two-year-old child who died in a house fire last week.
Tristan Oesterling was killed in the fire that happened at a home in the 100 block of Knox Avenue last Thursday afternoon.
Oesterling’s father Donovan was able to rescue his one-year-old son Jax who had to be flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of severe burns. Donovan and his four-year-old daughter Jasmine were also taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The children’s mother, Deidra Anthony was working when the fire broke out.
According to his obituary, he enjoyed his toys, his games, his siblings, and being the family’s “little helper”. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 10th from 1-3PM in the First Baptist Church of Butler, 221 W. New Castle St. Butler PA, 16001. His funeral will immediately follow in the church.
