A student at Summit Academy is facing charges for sending another student to the hospital.
Police were called to Summit Academy on August 26 after 18-year-old Tyler Dean punched another student severally they required medical attention at the hospital.
Dean is accused of going into the victim’s room and slamming their head against the wall and punching them in the head.
After the victim was able to secure Dean in a headlock and then released Dean is when Dean “sucker punched” the victim sending them to the hospital to receive two stiches.
Dean has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
