A recent update about construction at the Butler Senior High School could prove to be the last one given for the project.
A Certificate of Occupancy was granted by Butler Township officials following a final inspection last week.
Contractors are working on closeout requirements and exterior punchlist items this week. Several change orders are still pending approval such as the installation of a water line for the Dust
Collector spark arrestor system while the district solicitor works to get documentation of other cost over-runs from a General Contractor that was taken to bankruptcy court last December.
A line of single room bathrooms have not been utilized by students yet because of the need for replacement locks as well as cameras to be mounted outside the rooms that administrators believe could reduce some discipline issues.
