A house was completely destroyed in a fire Tuesday night that happened just over the Butler County line.
Crews were alerted to the fire on Logan Road in West Deer Township around 6:30 p.m.
Our news partners at WPXI report that the house on a former alpaca farm became engulfed in flames. Crews battling the fire say almost every part of the home caught fire, making it difficult to knock down.
The cold temperatures also created issues in fighting the blaze.
The homeowner was able to safely escape, however the house is considered a total loss.
