A firefighter is recovering this morning after being hit by a tractor trailer yesterday on I-80.
It happened just before 7 a.m. in Venango County near the I-80 bridge. Our news partners at WPXI report that a man from the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department was working traffic control when a tractor trailer lost control and hit the man.
He was taken to Grove City Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Clintonville VFD posted to Facebook and said the firefighter continues to improve each hour.
Roadways appeared to be snowy during the accident.
Clintonville VFD also posted to remind drivers to slow down when they see emergency vehicles on the road.
