It’s the first day of school for students at Seneca Valley, Freeport, and St. Wendelin’s.
With that, the morning commute will see school buses for the first time in months.
Police remind drivers they need to stop at least 10 feet from a school bus when the arm comes down to pick up students.
They also should be aware of flashing lights in school zones, which mandate drivers go 15 miles per hour.
Penalties have gotten stiffer for school bus traffic violations, including a 60-day licenses suspension.
