Emergency responders around the Butler area were kept busy by a few vehicle accidents Monday afternoon.
The first occurred just before 1 p.m. on Route 8 South in front of the Days Inn. Crews from Butler Township, Butler City, and Butler Ambulance responded to find a vehicle into a pole. At least one person needed treatment for an unknown injury.
Shortly after two p.m. the same emergency responders were called out to a multiple vehicle crash on New Castle Road near Barracks Road. At least one motorist was injured as a result of that crash. Then one hour later in approximately the same spot, a second crash was reported with a motorist complaining of a head injury. That injury is believed to have been serious with a helicopter landing near the high school.
Traffic was delayed for a time as a result of all of those collisions in order to allow crews to clean up.
