The Pittsburgh Steelers will add to more names to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Longtime director of public relations for the team, Joe Gordon, and equipment manager Tony Parisi have been recognized for the inaugural “Awards of Excellence” program. They will be among 20 honorees whose names will be on display inside the Hall of Fame Museum in Canton, Ohio. Gordon was hired in 1969 by the Steelers. No NFL public relations director worked with more Hall of Fame players than Gordon in his career. Parisi spent four decades as the Steelers equipment manager, who came to the team after playing hockey for the former Pittsburgh Hornets. Art Rooney brought him into the NFL after the Hornets folded.
