A Ford City woman accused of concealing four dead infants in her Armstrong County home allegedly has given birth while in prison.
Sources tell our newsroom that 40-year-old Jessica Mauthe gave birth to a child on April 3rd.
Mauthe has been imprisoned at the Armstrong County Jail since last September after police found four dead infants at her home in Cadogan Township.
Sources would not comment on details of the birth or the condition of the child. The pregnancy was reportedly unknown when Mauthe was taken into custody in September.
Mauthe is facing several charges including criminal homicide, involuntary manslaughter, concealing the death of an infant, and abuse of a corpse.
She was denied bail when she was first charged in September.
