A former employee of a Butler dental office is facing charges for using her knowledge of the business to steal money.
Cranberry Township Police were called to Cranberry Dental Arts in late October after two robberies occurred on the premises in the previous week.
After surveilling security footage and IP address records, police identified a former employee was accessing records and appointment times.
Police identified 33-year-old Ciara Stawarz of Ambridge as the former employee. Police allege Stawarz stole credential login information from the business and would login nearly 2,000 times.
Stawarz used this information to disrupt appointments and then break into the business on Oct. 13 and 17 and steal a total of $1,600 in cash at the business.
She’s facing 70 felonies including two burglary charges. Stawarz is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
