Students in the Mars Area School District will be able to continue to enjoy free breakfast and lunch through the end of this school year.
The United States Department of Agriculture has given Mars the authorization to continue the program for all kids through age 18 who reside within the district.
Families with students participating in traditional instruction do not need to take any action. Students will receive complete meals in the school cafeterias for free however charges will apply for a la carte items and partial meals.
District families with students who are enrolled in Live-Stream Interactive instruction, in the Mars Area Cyber Academy, or not attending Mars Schools are also eligible for free meals but parents or guardians will need to pick the meals up at district facilities.
