As visitors make their way to state parks, there is an initiative underway to help people stay safe in the sun.
The DCNR is offering free sunscreen at more than 50 state parks including Moraine and Jennings starting today in support of National Sunscreen Day.
Officials are encouraging residents that spend time at parks this summer to take the necessary protection from the sun.
The sunscreen will be located in pole-mounted, battery-operated dispensers. The sunscreen will be 30 SPF.
