A Butler County high school is receiving national recognition for educational excellence.
Freeport Area High School was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School—only one of 14 in the Keystone state to receive the honor.
The award is distributed by the U.S. Department of Education to recognize “exemplary high performing schools” for their state assessments or national testing scores.
