A Freeport teacher accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl pled not guilty in court yesterday.
Jared Lampus appeared in district court in Saxonburg where he denied the allegations he sexually assaulted a girl when she was 16-years-old.
Lampus began coaching the victim two years ago at a volleyball camp. Police say he soon began having sex with her at various locations, including in his classroom at an elementary school in the Freeport School District.
Judge Jack Ripper denied to lower bail, which is currently set at $500,000.
