There were 180 new cases of COVID-19 and three additional deaths reported by the state for Butler County on Friday.
That comes with 190 negative test results, giving the Department of Health’s daily report a 48.6 percent positivity rate.
There have now been 142 county residents who have died due to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the DOH.
As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 48 patients for coronavirus, with 15 COVID patients in the ICU. This is a decrease of four patients hospitalized but an increase of two patients in the ICU. The hospital reported one local death to the state on Tuesday.
Statewide, there were 9,320 new cases, 216 new deaths, and around 17,000 negative tests reported.
