There were 82 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths reported by the state for Butler County Friday.
Hospitalizations have increased locally over the past couple days. As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 23 patients for the coronavirus which is seven more than Wednesday, with three COVID patients in the ICU which is a decrease of two compared to Wednesday. BHS did report two deaths to the state on Thursday.
The number of statewide cases continues to climb as well, with over 5,000 cases added to the Commonwealth’s count on Friday. The death toll in Pennsylvania has increased by 35 and is now up to 25,362.
