A group of residents in Adams Township is holding a fundraiser this weekend to raise money for a new state-of-the-art aquatics center in the area.
The Adams Township Training and Aquatics Community Center (or ATTACC) is the group behind a Halloween 5K and one mile fun run/walk Sunday at 9 a.m. at Adams Township Park.
Participants are asked to contribute $20 to join the one mile activity and $30 for the 5K. Costumes are encouraged.
The group would like to build a 50 meter competition pool on the Adams Township Municipal Park. But, there’s a hefty price—the group estimates the facility could cost in between $20-$60 million.
If the project were to move forward, it would still be years away from breaking ground. Visit the ATTACC website for more information.
