The future of the Hotel Saxonburg is up in the air after no one bid on the property at last week’s Sheriff Sale.
The historic restaurant in downtown Saxonburg did not receive any competitive bids during the sale, meaning possession returns fully to Northwest Bank.
It’s not known what plans the bank has for the property.
The Hotel Saxonburg closed in March 2025. It first opened its doors in 1832.
