The Pennsylvania Game Commission is reminding residents that they can report illegal killings of animals and birds.
It’s called “Operation Game Thief” and it allows for people to confidentially report crimes against wildlife either online or through a toll-free number.
It’s a popular resource according to the Game Commission, with more than 1,500 reports each year.
Illegal killings carry a fine of $500 with other potential penalties.
People can call 1-888-PGC-8001 or visit the Game Commission’s Facebook page or their website.
