A garage in Muddy Creek Township was severely damaged as a result of a fire early Friday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 1:30 p.m. for a vehicle on fire in a garage in the 100 block of Albert Drive.
Firefighters from Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene with those from Prospect, Harmony, and Slippery Rock to find fire going through the roof. Explosions were also reported coming from the fire.
The fire was also endangering another structure about 30 feet away. The cause of that fire is unknown at this time and crews were able to clear the scene after about 90 minutes.
