Gas prices have decreased a bit both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, dropped by a nickel to reach $3.35 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole also decreased by a nickel to sit at $3.38. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Clarion at $3.24, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.59.
The average national gas price dropped by a penny over the past week to $3.06 which is the same as it was a month ago. Both demand for gas and the price of crude oil dropped over the past week.
