Gas prices have dropped slightly both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole during the past week.

The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole also decreased by two cents to settle at $3.82. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Altoona at $3.67, while the most expensive is in Mercer at $3.93.
The average national gas price fell by nine cents over the past week to reach $3.44. This is 19 cents less than a month ago and 18 cents less than one year ago. Although the price of oil increased slightly, the price is still lower than it was last week and demand for gas decreased.
