Gas prices have remained mostly stable both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, held steady at $3.20 per gallon which is identical to last week.
Prices also remained flat at $3.17 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Bradford and Sharon at $3.09 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.22 in Clarion.
Even though the average national gas price only increased by a penny over the past week to $3.04, demand has jumped to the highest since before the pandemic. AAA expects decreasing gas supply and increasing crude oil prices to result in the most expensive gas prices in years.
