Local motorists are starting 2020 the same way they ended 2019, by paying more for gasoline.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.91 per gallon which is six cents more expensive compared to last week.
Prices increased by five cents across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week, also averaging $2.91 per gallon. The cheapest gas in the area can be found in Washington at $2.75 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.98 in Meadville.
The average national gas price held steady at $2.58, but that could change due to the impact of Middle East conflict on crude oil prices.
