Gas prices have increased both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, increased by 12 cents to reach $3.23 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole rose by a dime to sit at $3.22. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Sharon at $3.05, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.43.
The average national gas price stayed even through the past week at $2.87 even with supply disruptions due to weather and low temperatures. Both gasoline demand and oil prices increased last week.
